Custom paper sizes in Canon's My Image Garden...

Jul 20, 2016

I looked through the menu and can't find how to add 11X14 paper size to the menu.  Thanks for your help!

Re: Custom paper sizes in Canon's My Image Garden...

I am interested in this as well if anyone knows. I am assuming I can print 11x14 through Lightroom by using a custom paper size and using the manual feed.

See no way to specify a Custom Size in my Image Garden. I'm on the Mac and there is no way to select Page Setup, where one can create custom sizes. The closest to 11x14 is Tabloid (11x17) and A3 A3 (11.69 × 16.54).

I had a feeling this was the case since I posted it quite some time ago and received no response.  Thanks for confirming what I suspected.

Re: Custom paper sizes in Canon's My Image Garden...

Glad to check. I like 11 x14 myself.

I see now that Apple Preview also has no direct Page Setup, but under Paper Size, there is Choose Custom Size-missing in My Image Gateway.

Best.

In order to get access to custom sizes in Apple Photo I first had to create them in Affinity Photo.  (Unfortunate they named the two applications the same thing.)  After that I could access the custom sizes from Apple Photo as well.  If you're on a Mac you can get a free demo copy of Affinity Photo from their website, if you're on Windows you may be able to find some other application; then the paper size may be visible in My Image Garden.  I haven't tested that, I couldn't tell you.

Or, use Tabloid and add 3 inches to your top margin.  The printer may complain when it runs out of paper, but hopefully by then it's completed what you need.

Thanks, I'll look at that if Affinity Photo can be downloaded from the web site.  But, actually, Preview is a superb, neglected application.  You can apply ICC Profiles, do custom sizes and it even has soft proofing.  I use it a lot.

That is great!  I hadn't realized that you can manage custom sizes in preview.

That allows you to specify margins but it is a little less convenient than elsewhere.
